“I am a Montreal counselor and psychotherapist with almost 30 years experience in private practice. My professional education includes: M.S.W (Social Work), Ph.D (Sociology), and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Adlerian Counselling Psychology. I help people to enhance their self-awareness and self-esteem, to develop more satisfying relationships, to make significant life choices, and to overcome self-defeating patterns. My personal style is direct, encouraging and egalitarian.
My approach integrates feminist and humanistic perspectives and cognitive-rational methods. I work with individuals, couples, and sometimes groups; and with adolescents and adults of all ages. Apart from in-office one-hour sessions, telephone sessions can also be arranged.
I have also been a teacher in the fields of Social Work and Sociology, and have done professional writing related to issues of gender and self-actualization. I am very well-versed in women's issues and the challenges of changing gender roles, and non-traditional family forms.”
